It gets better

I have taken a stand against badly written stories. Without skimming or skipping to the end, I have deleted an ebook. I don’t know how the story ends and I am ok with that. Despite willing to suffer much for a good story (they are possibly even with the author handling it badly) I finally reach my breaking point.

In this case, my breaking point was italics. It started so simple, with one character’s dialogue. He like to emphasis certain words. A character trait that made him stand out. However, it didn’t end there. The Main character (story is written in first person), started emphasising words in her head. Soon, the italics broke out in every other sentence…words that didn’t need emphasis now stood out. The only way to end it was to delete the book before it spend to my other books.
